Hmm, I'd figure texas has all sorts of public spaces.

Also the weather? I mean I'm a San Diego type of weather guy, not San Fran. I'm guessing he means too hot in the summer?

Well, enjoy your human feces.

Okay I see this guy came from SD. Well the weather fricking sucks everywhere in this country compared to SD.

This guy sounds like your typical clueless Californian. They have no clue that there is anything different outside of their little commie state.

I know it has been said many times, but he lost me when he was bitching that his 4,000 sq ft house had more maintenance and operating costs than his previous 2000 sq ft house. Duh, it’s twice as big moron.

He seems like the type that would buy a farm to “change his lifestyle,” then bitch bc it’s hard work and cry bc he just can’t find a good mocha chino anywhere in that town.

It’s the same thing but catch your drift. Don’t try to debate that Austin isn’t part of central Texas. That’s like debating that DFW is not north Texas.

That happens a ton in highland park and university park in dallas, happens in the heights in houston.

Pretty much any older wealthy areas in large cities have that.

And a half court basketball court. House sounded like one of those castles he was bitching about.

He is right about the castles, they are made with terrible taste.

Well, after reading all of that, I'm glad that douchebag is out of Texas. If that many people from Texas were treating you the way you describe, better start looking in the mirror rather than blaming Austinites.

I've been in Texas 26 different times, from the NW Panhandle down to Vinton.Spent weeks in Houston,Dallas ,Lubbock,Round RocK,San Antonio, and Amarillo. I don't know what the F this guy is talking about. Fredericksburg is wonderful place, some of the best biscuits I ever ate came from here. I have heard that some californians are strange folks. Texas has some of the nicest ,accomodating people I have ever met.

He moved from San Diego, not the Bay Area. But the point still stands, weather sucks in the south (Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, etc...). It's one of the major drawbacks to the area, IMO.
And now he lives in San Jose, which, while more temperate than San Francisco, rarely gets as chilly.

I mean, CA is superior to TX in so many ways.

i would generally agree, but if the choices are between some shithole suburb way out in the inland empire OR living like a baller in austin, the latter option starts to look more attractive.

Dear Californians,

Please read this guy's article. Texas sucks and if you move here, you will hate it. Not only that, but your wife will probably have a fling with a good looking Texas cowboy whose Brahma bull sized dick will absolutely destroy her vagina for your future use. So, stay in California!

Signed,
A concerned neighbor

PS if you still decide to move to TX, welcome and we don't give a frick how you did it in CA.
