Is your take that Mr Rogers is bad for kids?
That’s a new one on me, pal. One gender identity tune from 50 frickin years ago ain’t moving the needle for me on that one.

no they had their chance, and the frickery coming out of these stations over the last years is an embarrassment for the country.

I like just getting in the car and not having to think about what to put on. I usually just listen to NPR. Yeah it’s biased, but for the most part informative, and fairly calming to listen to in the morning.

Why are you in this thread?

Honestly did know PBS still existed..

About 20 years ago I started watching the NewsHour with Jim Lehrer. I found it to be one of the fairest and least biased news programs on television. During that time, I also found NPR to be the same in its direct reporting of the news without bias.
That all changed at some point. I stopped being able to watch/listen to the news from public broadcasting as the bias became more and more apparent.
The same thing happened to the Associated Press and Reuters - they went from direct reporting of the news without bias to being grossly preferential to certain ideologies in their content.
It's all very unfortunate.
The one show I will miss is Rick Steves' Europe. They have some of the seasons on Prime, however - great show.

I’ve never listened to a podcast.
Get Spotify and check out the countless selections. There is a podcast for any interest. You don’t have to listen to Rogan or Theo. I love history, so I’m 97 episodes into a whole series just on the Byzantine Empire.

and instead of introspection, they double down on their political view that only one side is correct and the other side (despite electing the current POTUS and both houses of congress) are to be derided as racist, sexist, fringe belief-holding, deplorables.
therefore constant mockery and ignoring WELL OVER HALF of the people in the US's political input, they simply opted to become propaganda to keep Dems in power forever.
even today, they rip their garments and cry about how unfair it is when 'they are just out for the public good' instead of saying "you know what? we are fricking a-hole and sorry we stopped reporting both sides of the news instead of 24/7 opeds. we'll take these measures to do better..."
