Asparagus in your rectum shouldn't be a concern. Monkeypox should be, Spooner.

To rephrase his question, do you reliably vote Democrat?

Democrats seem to be the biggest proponent of “not believing in throwing a life away”.

Tell the whole story of what happened.

I’m sure if the charges are dropped you’ll be sitting back feeling smug and proud of yourself.

But he’s done it before, and done it to you. He’ll do it again.

What happens when he beats a random 85 year old to death? What happens when he murders a kid?

Still going to be sipping Chardonnay with your pinky in the air, happy that you didn’t “throw his life away”?

You can’t fix a sociopath. He needs to be put away somewhere for the protection of the general public,

I always laugh at this board when it comes to this topic.

Me and my son both were diagnosed with Asperger's over 10 years ago. High intelligence introverts are non violent.

The frickers on the spectrum shooting up schools aren't Aspys.

Learn before you post.

No, Asberger’s and ASD are two different things but Asberger’s got lumped into ASD in the latest DSM

They appear clinically different

Typically people with Asberger’s are not just violent like this

Autism, Asperger’s, Bi-polar, etc. are used a lot of times as waste basket solutions for psychopathy IMO. The spectrum is so broad that people just say “oh that’s what it is” and stop looking for answers.

I listened to a pretty lengthy radio program about the Sandy Hook shooter and his dad basically said that. Once he was diagnosed as autistic, they stopped trying to dig into his behavior.

This dude sounds like a menace to society.

Yeah.Lock him up for 20 years. He can get his help in jail and not kill an innocent person.

If he's truly a threat to himself and others, the best thing you can do is press charges but make it a point to push the mentally unwell angle when conducting interviews. You got lucky, the next person very well may not. At some point your duty to society is larger than your duty to someone that is mentally unwell.

Mental health is such a tricky subject. I am extremely hesitant to take away an individuals freedom; however, there comes a point where individuals are just not capable of existing in society. I'm not sure what to do with them, as mental health care centers have their own sets of issues (one flew over the coocoo nest) but just using prisons as a defacto health care center is also insane.

So you are going to throw away the life of an innocent person when he does this again and succeeds in killing them.

If you're dead, then you can't help anyone else in the future either. It certainly isn't "paying it forward" if you forfeit your own life.
