Your SIL being there won't stop you from getting shite done.

As far as alone time, it's your house. Bang your bride till she screams. Either SIL will learn to put some earplugs in or she'll find somewhere else to stay.

I'm confused. You gotta take 4 weeks vacation at the house?
You poor or on house arrest or what? You don't do vacation very well.

How many weeks of vacation do you guys get? I had 4 weeks +1 day at my last job, I changed jobs 6 months ago and I have 3 weeks at my new gig. I get 4 weeks at 5 years
Almost 5 weeks or so.

And same here. I just changed jobs, and with more tenure at the old job I got around 6-7 weeks of PTO each year to use basically whenever.

I know a guy who had a hard arse job, was on call so could never drink
I'm on call 24/7 unless I'm on pto. Granted not much goes on, but I still drink. Though most of that drinking is done with my boss, so I think I'm ok.

Congratulations? That's a long time. You can easily turn those 3 other weeks into 6-7 vacations. I don't get any PTO.

well, I want to enjoy my much needed vaca

How will an extra wife and child keep you from enjoying your vacation? Really, I have no clue. Do they wake up at 5 AM to do yodeling practice?

And kid to come stay at our house without asking me. Her sister is having problems

What's the ducking deal? How are two family members staying with you going to ruin your vacation when

You're good by me. The old saying goes "I'm my brother's keeper" - not your sister-in-law's.

Maybe it was accumulated time that had to be used up by a certain date or he would lose it?

My boss just told one of my coworkers that he better start taking some time off soon or he would lose several hours of PTO by the end of the year.

Also...why does the sister in law and kid have to leave the house? Why can't the POS husband leave so his wife and kid have a place to stay while they figure out their marriage?

I'd be worried about my job security if I were able to take a month off. Hell I can't take a week without answering phone and emails
