I just saw a single White Pelican in the LSU lakes.

It's a little early for the migration. It's the first one I've seen in months so I don't think it's a holdover from last year.

Is he a scout? A misguided youngster? A go getter?

It's almost a month early if I remember correctly. And it seems curious that a single Pelican would show up early.
