I just IRL white knighted for a chunky blonde Canadian

Sitting at the bar in the hotel. I'm at the corner, the rest of the bar to my right, the other side has two chairs, taken by a couple. They were full on PDA early, then it got kind of heavy. From what they were saying, she was a mistress but he was mad she said something that he thought meant she wanted to "frick other dudes." Me and the tatted up Canuck next to me were hearing it all.
It got even more heated, and I looked over to the tat dude and said "he better not hit her." 5 seconds after he nodded in agreement and understanding, WHAP!
The only reason I was the one who did it is because I was closest, but me, the guy next to me, and another guy down the bar all flew out of our chairs. I went to grab him by the chest, but it was a stool so he fell back to the floor. We all got him up and waited while a security guy took him and another took the girl.
After I was a little nervous I was going to get in trouble, but me and the other two guys got a free drink from the bartender and it seemed to be over. I drank it quickly and gtfo.
I'm not an aggressive guy and I'm still shaking a bit, but frick that fricking guy.

I thought the same thing. I might have misread their situation. She was mad he didn't want to "move past his current situation" which I assumed was his wife since he had a ring on.

Just when I looked for a ring. Lotiony soft. The dude next to me looked like a brawler, so I am guessing he was lucky the dude in slacks and glasses got to him first.

You probably just got in the middle of their roleplaying. Those Canadians are strange folk. They were prolly in the room like, "We'll go down there, and I want you to hit me, if anybody steps in, we'll just meat behind the dumpster after."
