I have a feeling there is going to be a lot more too.
How does one draw up more sympathy than their neighbor who flooded exactly the same amount?

Will be pretty difficult to have a successful gofundme since no one outside of Louisiana seems to even know this is happening

Let them do what they need to do.
Maybe some of these people have out of state friends and relatives and possible business owners who know them and care enough to donate.
Every little bit will help.

A local preacher there literally made a GOFuND me account while he was riding out of his house on a boat. He has flood insurance and is still asking for 150k. Some of his congregation lit into him on FB.

My solution is complex, but easy to follow.
Don't contribute if you don't think it's worth it.
