If you are on the six month cheap arse plan, they don't send any notice of renewal. Nothing. Just ramp it up to full price with no previous billing.

I bitch about it every time they do it. The last time, they admitted they don't send any email notice to people on the six month subscription.

Shitty business practice, but to date I've had no problem calling them to have the charge reduced back to the standard cheap arse 6 month introductory rate.

I'm cheap. Doesn't mean it isn't a shitty business practice to charge a card with no invoice or notice that the prior subscription is up.

They sent me an email alerting to annual autopay time, but I let it slip by without calling. My fault.

After they charged me full rate, I called and told the guy I had let it slip and wondered if they could nonetheless give me the same terms as last year. He checked, did it, and I got a refund of about 50% on my card.

I've also got them to throw in the streaming feature for pretty cheap the last couple years. It's nice to be able to stream it via phone at home.

With SiriusXM it just got to the point where it was the same routine as AM/FM. Searching through the channels only to hear the same old stations playing the same old songs.

I really don't see the need for SiriusXM anymore. Between my phone and iPod I can listen to all the music and podcasts I want at anytime I want.

Just found 1st wave and it is my new favorite. I hate when they move channels. I finally found yacht rock and then boom a week later it's a rod Stewart channel. I hate rod stewart!

That's what happens when you explode on someone that has absolutely zero control and is paid the least amount in the company.

the intro offer was just the normal cost then they would not be in business very long.

Their price did go up, with less features. The promo price now was the original. I just don't like dealing with them so I just won't go back.

I've got better things to do than fight through the BS every few months to save a couple bucks each month.

I just pay whatever the price is and don't think twice. For those that play the game, more power to them. I'm sure I'm subsidizing your subscription.

This.

A subscription costs less than $200 per year. I pay Cox more than that each month.

It just ain't worth the hassle.

Did you expect your introductory offer to just go on forever?

Yes

I set a reminder in my calendar every 5.5 months to call and say I want the $30 for 6 months to renew. Been going strong for 7 years now.

We cancelled even after the $5/month offer from Sirius. Nobody misses the service so far. Similar to not missing the "landline phone" or the $175/mo cable tv bill where we watched maybe 10 of the 400 channels we were paying for. Sirius wants us back BAD. They're not only begging through emails ... they actually have a strong "via snail mail" attack/pleading as well. To all those that want to stay with Sirius ... do not pay more than $5/month+tax+title+and license.

I only renew for something like 3 months at a time. No auto renewal I’ve never had a problem.

Anyone ever try Tunein Radio? I read XM is fighting discounts and if I cancel and they let me I need a new goto until they concede a deal again

They're not worth the constant game/effort of re-upping for the cheaper price every 6 months or so until they figure out why folks leave them.

While yes, there are many genres of stations, once you find a genre you like THEY PLAY THE SAME FREAKIN' SONGS OVER AND OVER JUST LIKE COMMERCIAL RADIO!!!!!

Okay...done.

My car came with a trial membership. While I was briefly excited about the lack of commercials & dedicated genres, it didn’t take long to realize I don’t need to hear Freshmen by Verve Pipe twice a day. I’ve switched to true crime podcasts & will let the trial lapse.
