Untreated Schizo spectrum people are some of the most terrifying to deal with. When they don't know the voices aren't real they are capable of anything at anytime. I have a great deal of sympathy for them but you trying to help or even interact with them is very dangerous.

They said with most people that they deal with like this, they take their meds until they “normalize”. Once they hit that, they believe they don’t need the meds anymore and quit taking them. Vicious cycle.

Probably was doing okay and then went off his meds. I seent it plenty of times.

Sounds like the guy has some serious psychological problems and may have been on his meds when he was hired and then decided to quit taking them for some reason.

I have a stepdaughter who has psych issues and if she takes her meds, she can function at a pretty high level and don't go off the deep end. However, and there usually is an however in these cases, when she decides to get off her meds or they quit working like they should, she goes off the rails big time and we never know what to expect.

From the stories he was telling you, sounds like schizophrenia with a side of bipolar and paranoia.

Sounds like he's a good candidate for a long acting injectable antipsychotic. Can be life changing for people with serious mental illnesses and medication compliance issues with oral meds
