I get it. I married a cat person and now I have 2 cats. She told me I’d get used to them fast and she was right. Cats are pretty badass.

What blew my mind the most was the day we bought them. We brought them home, set up their food/water bowls and litter box, and that was it. I was like, do we have to train them at all?? Nope.

When I was a kid, my dad had found a baby rabbit in one of our fields. He brought it home to us in a medium sized cardboard box. We left it in the box on the front porch swing for just a minute or two to go inside for something. Came back out and the bunny was gone. Then we heard a weird muffled sound over and over. Follow the sound and see the bunny halfway down the cat's throat with it's back legs still kicking. Have hated cats ever since.

Bird flew in my place one day. Wife was screaming and crying, dog was hiding and trembling, I was holding my hands up, trying to shoo the bird back outside - cat popped up, hunched down her shoulders, stalked across the room to where the bird was and waited on her haunches.

If that bird hadn't have flown out, she 100% would have snatched it out of the air. That cat has never been outside for more than a few minutes, and she still knows that she's meant to kill.

Cats are great, but you've got to make peace with the fact that you're sharing your home with a 12lb psychopath.

Tabby cats are great pets. Train like a dog and you will have a great little friend.

Yeah that’s been on my mind. :lol; Definitely going to invest in a good scratching post!

You may know this already, but just in case.

I had cats all my life but learned within the last 5 years that cats are usually either horizontal or vertical scratchers. Learned that when I got 2 cats that only scratch the scratching pads not the posts.

It’s crazy that if they were the size of medium to large dogs they’d literally be tigers. They’d be so much more dangerous than dogs pound for pound.

I think of my cat as a black panther. Watching her stalk things is fun.

Congrats on yer new buddy. I'd always had Persians and Himalayans.... then I moved into a house that came with a cat. This cat right here...

Turns out Tabby cats are fantastic little idiots. This guy cracks me up to no end. He's a master of tantric napping...

Same. Ours is named Wylam and he got his nuts cut out today. So I gave him as much of his favorite food as he could eat a little but ago......watermelon.

This furball showed up at our house about 10 years ago — he’s roughly 11 now and I hate his fur everywhere but I love him!!!

I don't believe you. Looks like a sweetie to me. Is he/she a talker? I had a snowshoe before... He was a chatty guy.
