I love mine. Use it now instead of my gas grill. My dad has one when we were growing up. I had forgotten about them till last year when I found one laying around after the A&M game. You won’t cook a better burger.

Not upset at all. Just stating an opinion. I wouldn’t get upset over a screen name on an internet site. I don’t need that level of boring life where I’d care about things on a website

Get rid of it and go get you a Weber kettle or smokey mountain.

I think it’s perfect for small tailgates... like others have mentioned very versatile.... the only issue I have had is it still being hot when it’s time to pack up

Which brings the very top of it( not grill level) to a whopping 39".

There is nothing wrong with the way this smoker/ grill functions, its just too damn short for a grown man unless he want to cook from the tailgate of his truck.

Phenomenal for smoking a pork butt. Charcoal with cherry or hickory chunks. Put the charcoal over to one side, the pork over to the other. Leave the lid cracked. Low and slow.

This is correct.

Every man should own either an old smokey or weber kettle at some point in his life. They're great little bbq pits.

Damn, you must take really good care of that thing. My last one held up for 3 years then the bottom fell out.

Great Pit.
Grills and smokes Very well.
Very difficult to burn food.
Just don’t leave it out in the weather.
It’s design is to allow you to grill while you sit in a lawn chair and drink a beer.

Great gift. I suggest you pick up a pack of the leg extensions and also flat washers. While adding the leg extensions simple add a flat washer at every connection. Add them under the lid handle as well. If you do this and always empty it after cooking and bringing inside (to avoid morning dew) it will last surprisingly long.

Chicken: halve and separate wings (grill wings separately). Once coals are gray and hot as hell cook the halves ribs-down lid-down the whole time until a final char of the skin towards the end. After flipping back to ribs down finish with Pig Stand or Jack Miller BBQ sauce for 5 min. That skin...

It’s a great time tested charcoal grill. I wouldn’t be trying to smoke brisket in it or anything
