I’m here to hang with friends and family. We stopped at three house parties (had crawfish at one) and have dropped by to see three different groups of friends. Weather is amazing. I’m mid city there is a lot of hot arse out here.
The parade itself is secondary to me.

Maybe a case could be made in the mid to late 90’s and early 2000’s. This was the peak era of Buckhead nightlife. Buckhead rivaled Miami and Las Vegas as far as nightlife was concerned.

Nowadays Atlanta is a shell of what it once was, especially when it comes to nightlife.

I can't argue this.

You mean the 7th largest city in the country, and the economic, logistical and medical capital of the South? The machine that runs the entire region? C'mon.

Atlanta still has really good nightlife scene, you just have to know where to look. It's not centered in Buckhead anymore obviously. But it'll never be what it was in the 90's.

Many of us paid good money to move away from Nola and the Tristan St.Cyrs of the world.

Eunice Mardi Gras is much better than NOLA. People that think NOLA is some worldly city are probably the most uncultured people in the world.

New Orleans is the last place i want to be during all this nonsense. Give me a quiet festival-less weekend.

Played 18 today on a nice golf course. About to shower and go eat sushi with the wife.

There’s not an amount of money you could pay me to be in NOLA for Mardi Gras. I will watch a few minutes from the bourbon street and cats meow cams tho while laying in bed. lol.
