I read an interesting article a few years back on a phenomenon. Basically back in the late-90s a HBCU debate team won a championship by taking an interesting strategy. Basically, no matter the topic, they would pivot their response to accuse the other team of being racists. It’s an irrational argument that has nothing to do with the topic. The problem was each school took the bait and went into defending their lack of racism instead of the debate topic.
That being said, it’s the way the modern progressives operate. They propose completely irrational positions that no one can debate because they are irrational. But they also contain buzzwords that we’ve been taught are verboten, so we get caught in this if/then loop that’s unexitable. And the proposals get more absurd, and they only serve to further destabilize societal norms.
Because I believe that’s the endgame. The complete destabilization of western culture. Because it eventually will hit a breaking point and things will fall apart. And they believe that they will emerge the rulers of the world once traditional culture has died.
We are at war. We have been for years. Shots will eventually be fired.

Logical arguments are ineffective when emotional appeals are constantly introduced into a debate. And nothing brings out emotion like racism/sexism/homophobia…or being baselessly accused of it.
You are probably right that destabilization is the goal.

I think queer is their preferred umbrella term. Why it hasn’t replaced the alphabet term by now is puzzling. May be because the word queer has historically been a derogative word.
