I just find it sad that some ex military and police that die in the line of duty havent gotten near the attention of said nurses.

Idk what you pay attention to, but I always see military being thanked for their service and sacrifice. Just because nurses are getting a spotlight right now doesn’t mean veterans have been forgotten.

My brother has practiced for over 40 years and says that he medicine is a career and not a job. If you are scared then you chose the wrong career and need to find a new one.

I'm a healthcare worker. Situations like this suck, but it's a part of what we signed up for.

I agree. I would also point out the few laboratorians that had gotten sick as compared to the other healthcare workers. We have always used universal precautions and are aware of these type bugs. All healthcare workers have done a good job, but its just a job.

Thanking is one thing, but being called a hero is a bit of a stretch, and I am a frontline healthcare worker... lol
