Fun fact: something doesn't need your permission or acknowledgement in order to exist.

These are the threads when the self-purported "science believers" (funny how it's hard to think of a better word than "believer") out themselves as to how little they actually understand the process of science and how narrow-minded they actually are in regard to the mysteries of our universe, which we've barely begun to scratch the surface of.
In reality, they're not "pro-science;" they're "anti-supernatural," which ironically is how everything that is now understood scientifically would once have been described.
They'd make terrible scientists.

How does he know it was female? Our spirits have the same shape as our bodies? Why do people see ghosts with clothes on? Did the clothes have souls too? Where are the ghosts wearing PFG shirts?
It appears that ghosts look like what the rube who sees them thinks they should look like.

Long flowing hair and feminine facial features.
Need me to explain gender to you?
I’ll save us both time here… I’m not here to convince you ghosts are real. Believe what you want, I really don’t give a shite. My BIL doesn’t hang out on message boards and tell his ghost story. I’m just providing it because I believe him. He’s one of the most trusted people I know. Hell he puts up with my sister. If he says he saw one, good enough for me.

I suspect he saw something in a strange, new environment then heard the farmer mention a ghost and his mind conformed his experience to fit that story. He didn't do it purposely or dishonestly. It's a quirk in our brains.

Truth.
Who knows what science will verify 100 years from now? I suspect ghosts are energy, if anything at all.
Everyone should maintain a sense of wonder. You lose that and you are a propagandist dream.

My Dad used to tell us a story about Ghosty Ghost when we were under 5. It was terrible, I think he made it up himself.

Part of the magic of being a kid..

I don't believe or disbelieve much. I try to keep open minds regarding these things as science is constantly discovering new things.

Are you Christian? Or just don’t respect them either?

Ghosts are records of physical activity that occurred some time in the past. Frequently, ghosts are appear to walk through walls and other obstructions unhindered.
Consider that computer chips are made of silicon, essentially a rock. So is concrete.
A building has been constructed with a concrete slab that continues to cure over the course of time as the building process continues. As that concrete cures it is recording impressions of what is going on around it. It's essentially a huge computer chip being encoded with information as it cures.
Some time later, when the building has been completed, atmospheric conditions occur which cause the playback of these recorded images in such a manner that they are perceptible by humans. We see images of individuals - possibly the construction workers who were building the project- seemingly walk through walls and continue on their journey through the building.
Why would they seem to pass through walls?
Consider that the walls and partitions were constructed after the concrete slab was poured and while it was curing. Thet concrete has picked up the data of the workmen traveling through the building prior to the erection of those interior walls. Of COURSE they appear to walk through walls. They aren't real entities, they are only a record of a previous occurrence. They can only be observed. You cannot interact with them.
Similarly, sounds and other sensory data can be recorded by curing concrete.
Do I have proof of this, or has this train of thought ever appeared anywhere else? No. Not as far as I know. I'm probably the only reformed pot-head that has come up with crazy crap like this, but it makes as much sense to me as the Matrix did to its writers.
Maybe I need to start my old habits and see if I can warp my brain enough to finish these ponderings and come to a conclusion.

I know a guy that did some work at the old Goodwood library when it was transitioning to the new building. He's not the type that believes in ghosts at all, but he swears up and down that the building is very haunted. He said it wasn't just 1 or 2 occurrences either. Nearly every day strange noises and unexplainable things were happening.

I wonder how many people who have actually seen things still don’t believe?

What if a person described in detail a situation that occurred involving sounds and things moving with no visible cause?

You shouldn’t.
That’s like believing in Santa Claus.
Or God for that matter

Same. You're a kid if you believe in ghosts. It's so silly.

Remove the silliness of the concrete recording data and I think what you are saying could make sense. There maybe are points in our reality or glitches in the matrix that cause brief moments of time distortion.
