I get the thrust of it and I wholeheartedly agree black history month is a waste of time since it's a scramble to say peanut butter and traffic lights were invented by black guys, instead of useful and truthful black history. But c'mon kids aren't even in school then.

June 19, 1965 was when slaves in Texas received word of emancipation.
Pride Month being in June is an unfair appropriation.
