not everyone lives to work.i feel bad for you if you base your house solely on where you work.

Don't worry - I don't live to work. But since I have to do it, not sitting in traffic in this hellhole makes it that much more enjoyable.

People who work in downtown BR but drive in from Prairieville every day get zero sympathy from me. They all knew what they were getting into.

Didn't we just have a thread not too long ago about a shocking amount of people who don't have any retirement set aside?

So those old folks are probably going to work

At least they don't text and drive. I had a car in my lane this morning.

That is how they discovered my grandfather's passing. Missed two days in a row, they brought him a couple of sausage biscuits to his house, and found he had passed in his sleep. Don't know became of the biscuits.

Apparently it is the fricking bees knees. I see 60-80 year olds driving around during the morning commute all the time. Not once have they driven the speed limit or come remotely close to running an orange light.

shite, add in soccer mom, and it's 6:00am-5:00pm, non stop, wasting gas every day, pointless driving.

I am retired and I like to sit on my front porch and watch others drive around aimlessly.

I drive when the hell I want an at what speed I want. But I’m usually the one passing your arse while you’re on the phone in the left lane

Maybe some folks should get their arse up a little earlier so they don't have to drive like a douche to get to work on time.

The old folks don't bother me. We'll all be there someday.

No, they are actually going to the gym. I admire the retired guys for continuing to put in work but I think their main goal is not to train but to get into the bathroom ASAP so they can hang out buck naked until it is time to really go out for lunch (or supper).

I agree with everything the OP said. However, when I'm retired, I can't say I'll act any different.
