People shite on the south and then voluntarily live in places where this happens.

Some people like me love snow. I would take snow over suffocating heat and humidity anyday.

Friend of mine lives in Endicott. She posted a bunch of pictures on BookFace this morning. She got even more than what's in that picture.

I lived in a lake effect snow area for 2 full winters. Not uncommon to have 2 or 3 feet overnight. Snowmobiling was excellent though

Most I've ever dealt with was a few feet while living in Germany...I can't imagine dealing with that much damn snow.

As someone who has lived in the south their entire life, something like this is completely unfathomable to me.
Living in Atlanta it is considered a huge snow storm if we get 2-3 inches of snow.
I haven't done it yet, but I have always wanted to atleast experience snow on this level. I don't want to live there, only visit.

I can't find it right now, but there's a pick of a school bus from last year that was going down a road with what looked like 15 feet of snow on each side. You see pics like that, living in the south, and it legitimately looks like another planet. It is just crazy to even think about.

Just seeing those walls of snow in pics makes me claustrophobic

Great time to only allow outdoor dinning. I sure hate it for the restaurant owners.

Someones gonna have to shovel all that.
Great way for the middle aged kids to earn some cash in winter. Cut grass in the summer and it's a year round business.
Up north, that is what a lot of grass cutting companies do. Put plows on their trucks in winter, and cut grass in summer.

I was nearby for that one. We lived in the valley and I only remember seeing 12-14 inches. School was closed for two weeks, power outtages lasted a month. The National Guard was hauling people out in Humvees that were buried up in little dirt road hollers with no food, water, or power.
Exact same scene in Birmingham, which got 13" or so in drifts. Only time I've ever seen thunder snow.
Weirdest memory of that was regarding Carrot Top, who was scheduled to perform at The Comedy Club south of town. The whole structure caught fire and burned down during the snow storm, and he lost all of his props (which I guess was his whole act at the time).

I've been up at my in-laws in Utah near Park City and received so much snow it was piled half way up the garage doors. Fortunately, he has a large tractor with a snow plow and a snow blower.
My wife is thinking when we retire of us moving there. I'm thinking we'll start sleeping in separate beds. Mine will be at my condo in Fort Lauderdale and hers can be in the freezing igloo in Utah.

Outdoor dining while bullets are flying and protestors are burning down streets

I lived in a lake effect area, it was wild how fast the snow came down. And the winds were brutal.
