It's a 2005 which is the oldest model year Uber will allow.
False. A 2007 4 door sedan is the latest year that would qualify for UBER.

Had a 2006 TSX that I drove for a couple years. Great car, if you fix this one up and want to sell, lemme know baw.

2005 Acura TSX for $1900 at 198K miles.
Needs both front wheel bearings, master window switch (driver side and sunroof are only ones that open) and a power steering pump. Also need to clean the shite out of it.
Figure I can flip it and sell for $4500 or so. Profit about $2000 after parts and insurance/tag fees. Maybe use it for Uber a little bit to make some easy side cash.
What say the OT?
Your project car and my project car have two different meanings.
Mine would be 1969 SS Camero for 10k purchase and 50k later I sell it for 45k

My mom bought my kids a car to learn on. It's a 1999 Toyota Camry with a V6, 66,000 miles garage kept. It was for her best friends mother who owned it since new. She picked it up for $3000. Everything works on it so I wont need to fix anything.

Congrats on your Civic.

Yeah I agree OP, pretty sure Uber doesn’t allow 14 year old vehicles.
And, there’s no way you are selling a 14 year old vehicle with 200k miles for $4500.
Now you can certainly get your use out of it. I drove an accord out of college that my wife bought new to 235,000 miles and it still drove great.

Sweet! I love projects like this. I do it with motorcycles because they take up less room in my garage.
Problem is I fall in love with them after spending so much time on them and can’t bear to sell.

The market for a 14 year old vehicle with 200k miles is not very good. You will sit on this thing for months trying to make $2k.
Im not sure what I would think if my uber/lyft car has a "For Sale" sign on it ha
(though I do think the care is to old to use, so OP planned this one wrong. Ha)
