Just give blood 2-3 times a month and watch what you eat. You will be fine.

You're not even really British, are you?

The frick is wrong with you people? The man comes out and spills his guts about a medical problem and 45 people downvote him. This place is a bastion of shite these days.

Did you have any kind of symptoms that made you want to go in and get checked for that condition?

I'll google this. The GF already got me a cookbook for this iron overload disorder I have and it doesn't look too bad. I can eat all the whitefish and chicken I want, just have to limit red meat

I fainted when I gave blood last week for the first time at some blood center downtown (I wanted to get started early and plus it was free). I woke up with three big black ladies telling me to "keep ya eyes open! and one fed me a coke with a bendy straw
Sucks that this is the new normal. I'm going to start going to my fancy blood doctor center where they give you personal TV's and you have a view of Lake Michigan out of the window. Guess I'll meet my deductible for the first time in my life.

I agree - the downvotes are brutal - WTF?
And no, I just have a cool arse regular doctor who gives me adderall, slips me some free viagra sample kits once a year, and happened to catch an irregularity in my annual blood work. Dude might have saved me from some bad stuff down the road - I'm going to write him a thank you card when I get some time.

Really glad your doctor caught this before it killed you. Life can be just as fun without booze

You might need to find a good mushroom hookup. .3-.4 of a gram gives a good, still coherent buzz. Good clean mdma is a blast, without a big hangover. More fun than alcohol, imo. Though it's feels so good, many people do way more than they need (which explains the rave scene). But both substances are safer than anti drug propaganda claimed 10+ years ago. Small doses make for a great, social time.
I remember at thanksgiving, my cousin had been drinking way too much. And she wasn't being s friendly drunk. It was really pissing off her husband.
One night, a bunch of us secretly ate some mushrooms. Nobody told her husband, because he's from another country, and it would've freaked him out. At some point in the evening, he leaned to me and said
"this is the ******* I fell in love with. Happy and joking around. I wish she was like this more often when she drank."
I just laughed to myself. Because I'm sure she she'd agree.

Why's this poor SOB getting so many downvotes for this?
Sorry to hear, brother.

Wouldn't that shite wreak as much havoc on his liver as beer, though? I don't know.

I have the same condition and so does my mom. Like a earlier poster said you just have to give blood to get rid of the excess iron
Posted on 6/14/16 at 10:01 am to SirWinston
you should seek a second opinion. i'm thinking the doctor posts on the OT and is fricking with you.
Posted on 6/14/16 at 10:09 am to SirWinston
You're a frickin douchebag who seeks internet approval. frick off.
Posted on 6/14/16 at 10:11 am to SirWinston
So your doctor just found this irregularity from a random blood test?
Did you have any signs or anything?

I am quite suspicious of people who don't drink.
