You have to wonder if he was forced to fly in those terrible conditions.
According to a a former pilot that used to fly for Kobe, he never once forced him to fly. Kobe would just say "Do your thing" and just wanted privacy.
However, I read that another pilot for celebs stated that there was always some sort of pressure to get to where they wanted to go.

Other pilots have come forward that flew for Kobe in the past and all have said he was completely professional and never pressured anyone. Apparently Kobe believed in trusting people trained in their fields.

To be honest most pilots (that are still alive) do. Unfortunately it’s a profession with no room for error or mistakes

There's old pilots and there's bold pilots.
There are no old, bold pilots.

Sometimes an accident is just an accident.

Steve Bartman treatment.
Different but the guy got hounded. The Cubs actually gave him a 2016 World Series ring to make amends.

This has been around for a long time but even today it still serves as a reminder to those who fly it or maintain it.

Idk.
Flying at 200 mph with zero visibility in mountainous terrain and at an altitude below nearby peaks seems more negligent than accident.
Can we get your credentials that qualify you to make this judgement?
Experienced helicopter pilot? NTSB accident investigator? Jackass with a keyboard and an Internet connection?
The rest of you "experts" in the thread. Please list qualifications along with the conclusions of your accident investigations.

It's not a judgement those are facts

Yeah and most of those will forget about him in a week or so.
Life goes on.
Life goes on.

Your stupid arse doesn't have a clue.
How do you know there was not a fire? A mechanical issue? A medical emergency with the pilot?

I believe the angle of the OP is that those people will blame the pilot for their deaths
Honestly, the pilot should be blamed. There were a series of avoidable blunders we know about not including what we suppose to be pressure from Kobe to "get there"
It's going to really suck for the family when the pilot's estate is drained from the liability lawsuits forthcoming.

Well frick us running.
Somebody call the NTSB and cancel the investigation.
Inspector Clouseau has closed the case.

The pilot was fully qualified and rated to fly in the conditions they were in.
"It's foggy. You can't fly in fog."
