…. instead of saying anal retentive.
I heard this gem while at breakfast this morning with my wife’s family.
My 66 year old mother-in-law tries to use expressions like this, and she butchers them all the time.
Do you or anyone in your circle of family and friends have trouble pronouncing proper expressions?

Chester drawers instead of chest of drawers, gramma seizure instead of grand mal seizure ... I'm from the South, but dang people butcher the language here.

My mom is old as dirt and had some small strokes during a procedure last year and she is all over the place with screwing words up and getting hung up on what she’s trying to say. I’m somehow good at helping her finish sentences.
She really comes up with some funny shite though and thankfully laughs at herself.

My Arkansas bro in law was describing an activity he had to do as a lad in ROTC.
He: I hate heights. When I was in rotc they made us retaliate down a 100' wall.
Me: They made you what?
Him: Retaliate. All the way down from
100'. I hated it
Me: You mean rappel?
Him: Rappel? Hell naw we had to RETLIATE all the way down it.
