Scruff, as mentioned earlier, Musk paid back dollar for dollar of any subsidy given to build Tesla years ago. The only automaker to do so. You can't factor that money now.

He's just going to ignore or deflect because you're absolutely right. He can argue the merits of Musk's ability to capitalize on his subsidies or their availability through government policy, but he's not. He'd rather scream he's a welfare queen because he takes advantage of whats available to him until he's blue in the head.

1) Solar City lied to the government to get welfare and had to pay a settlement of 29 million, far less than they profited from the feds.
2) All crony capitalists are welfare queens. This isn't solely on Musk. The government has no business picking winners and losers.
