According to some of your arguments in this thread, yes

I've never made that argument. You're lack of comprehension is the issue.

Paying the proper politicians for financial favors =/= doing taxes according to the legal tax code. It's not even remotely in the ballpark.

It has been widely reported that among SolarCity, Tesla, and the rocket company SpaceX, Elon Musk’s confederacy of interests has gotten at least $4.9 billion in taxpayer support over the past 10 years.

From the article.
The taxpayer never got their moneys worth from Solar City.

Safety issues as a result of vehicle design flaws, or manufacturing problems have plagued almost every manufacturer, the current air bag problem, Toyota accelerator problem, Ford Pinto gas tank, GMC pickup gas tank, Ford Explorer roll over issue, the infamous Corvair are just a few.

You're making two different arguments here. The one that the cost has outweighed the be fit could have merit. The one that Tesla or Solar City has taken government funds that would otherwise not be available to anyone else does not.

You did implicitly. And lol at you talking about others not being able to comprehend things. Tell me again about all of those deductions and credits that are available to everyone.

You’ve read a few articles criticizing Musk, and it’s made you mad. However, your level of understanding is limited.

WTF?

What are you talking about? This thread is about Elon Musk and his cronyism.

Are you under the impression that the only thing Musk has been involved with is Tesla?

You're a classic case.

Musk makes his money off of government involvement in his industry. This has always been the argument. He's a promoter, a crony capitalist and couldn't survive without being heavily subsidized.

Can you actually disagree with that?

Yes, I can disagree.

A classic case of what? I understand tax credits and deductions. You originally used those to support your argument. When it was pointed out that your understanding was incorrect, you moved on to another example.

Even the examples that you’re pointing out now are engaged in my a whole host of businesses and hardly point to Musk being the “poster child for crony capitalism” as you’ve called him.

Agreed.

Yes he could.

Absolutely because you understand about 2% of what's going on.

Again

Musk is simply taking advantage of the loopholes and incentives provided by the government.

We all do it to some extent.

Criticize the government for offering these incentives or loopholes, not the people that smartly take advantage of it.

Welfare queens don’t typically pay back their welfare checks.

I’ve asked this already, but what businesses do not take advantage of federal, state or local subsidies?

I get it that you think Musk is the most egregious example, but that seems like a personal issue.
