I have tons of kids on my block and I've taken to backing into the driveway so I can see in front of me when I pull out. Too many careless kids and parents on my street.
What if you roll over them while backing into your driveway?

You'd be the shitty mother that left her kid unattended to let them roam free in the neighborhood and almost get run over by a car because you're too busy posting whatever beer you're drinking and what you ate for breakfast, lunch and diner on the food board.

Good thing you didn't hit him. The world needs ditch diggers too.

It's easier for me to give my driveway a once over before I back into it.

For all we know, that kid could have been the next Hitler. OP should have run him over.

Natural selection at work
i'd call that more of an accident than natural selection. how many times do you think you'd have died if your mother/father wasn't there to stop you from doing something. id bet hundreds

One thing that I absolutely love about my truck is the back up sensors/alarm and the camera. Every vehicle that I own from here on out will be equipped with them.
About two months ago I went in and ordered a vehicle to my liking and specifications, I upgraded the touch screen and added some sort of technology package, I assumed it had the back up camera and sensors...1 week before it was due to arrive I found out it didn't have either, I canceled and ordered a new one. They are a must have IMO

Shitey parent. Who leaves their baby behind a fricking car? The kid should have been monitored better like all good parents would do.

It's literally my worst fear. I don't think I could live knowing I killed someone's baby or child with my car and not paying attention.

I didn't even see him when I was backing out. I didn't realize he was there until the mother screamed. I'm still sweating bullets.
Get a new car with backup cameras

I couldn't do without my backup camera. Every time Mr. 1999 drives my vehicle, he's backing up and spinning around like he's possessed in a horror movie, trying to see out the back. I just point to the screen.
