Passed it on the way this morning. Small tanker truck and about a dozen cars scattered with damage.

A lot of this blame goes to 18 wheelers that like to drive 2 by 2 going 60mph from Hammond- slidell

It’s the worst stretch of any interstate I’ve ever driven between the 18 wheelers going 2x2 and then shitty drivers

We need the Autobahn rules for 12. All semis, trailers (boat, camper, lawn equipment ) and trucks (campers, uhauls, etc) over 6 tons must stay in the right hand lane and are not allowed to pass.

It's pretty bad, but I40 between Memphis and Little Rock is worse. 130 miles at 64 with 18 wheelers side by side and a less than optimal road surface.

I-35 between Dallas and San Antonio is the worst I have ever experienced and I drive I-12 every day.

Because that stops them on the basin bridge.

More so the blame is the back to back entrance/exit ramps, not to mention there is no main artery other than I12 to get from Mandeville to Covington so a lot of it is local traffic.

Pretty sure he just meant getting across the river. Your options are
1) going through Madisonville - terrible traffic in morning and afternoons
2) going either down Boston or over Claiborne hill - both terrible options for multiple reasons
3) the interstate - which with the exits so close to the bridge are, as we all know well, is a fricking nightmare

I blame it all on the Tchefuncte river.
