State Police

ETA: Update: The fire has been extinguished, & there are no injuries. Crews are still working to open the roadway as quickly as possible

I was driving back to BR from Texas yesterday evening and had to wait through 3 traffic slowdowns because of wrecks on I-10. None were on the Whiskey Bay bridge.

The I-10 corridor between Lafayette and NOLA should just be converted to a proving ground for 18 wheeler manufacturers

Not that it would have prevented a fire, but I think we need to limit them to the right hand lane on every 4 lane section until the state can get around to widening the highway.

If there is a more accident prone stretch of any highway in America not named "I-10 West near Whiskey Bay", I would like to know about it.
