I read a couple of weeks ago on here about the bridge being worked on or something. Heading to Houston tomorrow and not sure if I should stay on I-10 or take 210. Anyone know the best route to take? Thanks.

West bound there are no issues.

It’s when you are coming back that will be the issue. Avoid rush hours and you’ll be fine taking 210 around the bridge.

Yea avoid after 3 pm and between 730 and 9 in the morning and you will be fine taking 210.

West isn’t a problem. As far as east goes, I’ll share my misery from last night.

Yes I drove to Houston from Baton Rouge on Monday with no problem. Came back on Tuesday and passed through Lake Charles around 7 pm was hell. Take 210 but expect it to be backed up getting on.

I crossed it today headed towards BR at around 1PM. It was slow but nothing to really complain about. The right lane is closed for about 2 miles. No sign of road work however.

No problems West bound. You might consider going thru Dequency , east bound, then stay on 190,

Heed the advice given here on your rebound. It is really a big mess if you try to pass through at the wrong time.

I had the pleasure of waiting in that cluster frick for over an hour on my way back from Houston last week and this was around 6:30 pm. Though they had a horrible accident or something... nope just assholes that can’t merge without coming to a stop

Westbound to Houston has a big slow down at Trinity River. Road repair brining everything to one lane at the bridge. Three lanes on I-10 and two lanes of Frontage Rd merging to one lane.
