I-10 Bridge eastbound in LC Closed for Emergency Repairs- update in op

Reports of the expansion joints buckling, but looks like it will be closed for a while, traffic already backed up over 3 miles!!
Take 2-10 if at all possible
ETA: repairs complete and bridge in process of being opened back up as of 8pm per American press

Yikes. That's going to affect things. Lord imagine how much it must suck to be literally on the bridge when they stop traffic. What are they going to do, reverse down?

I think there were several on the incline in the pic from kplc, they are pros and can handle it. 210 E is going to suck for a while.

So we have construction between Winne & Beaumont, construction on both sides of the Sabine River, a rickety bridge in Lake Charles, the wreck-prone Atchafalaya Basin bridge, and the glorious Mississippi River bridge traffic.

I'm so glad I don't have to take the interstate much. I don't even go to Sulphur City Court in part due to avoiding I10 E.
