That DOTD vehicle is a motorist assistance patrol vehicle. When a vehicle breaks down on the Interstate those guys pull up behind the vehicle and put on their lights. He may have been trying to help the Sheriff's vehicle or a vehicle just in front of the Sheriff.

What if he was in the right lane and was moving to the left to pass a slower driver/truck?? I mean it could be his fault BUT it could NOT be as well.

Deputy was stopped with a stalled vehicle, DOTD truck pulled up to divert traffic to other lane with arrow board, Fed Ex truck hit all of them.

Westbound was fine when I came through a few hours ago, it was eastbound that was messed up. Backed up from whiskey bay all the way to Henderson.

Just passed going west it was clear sailing. Eastbound is a shitshow right now would avoid if going east

Still illegal on the bridge.
They need to extend that " all trucks in the right hand lane law" from just east of Baton Rouge to just west of Lafayette and then police the shite out of it.
Not only traffic get better, but state police revenue would see a big spike as well.
