Not wanting to buy a Genesis because it's owned by Hyundai is like saying you wouldn't want to buy a Ferrari because it's owned by Fiat.

This. The wife drives a Hyundai. She picked it out when she could have had a far more expensive car. She loves it. The plus is that we paid for it with cash because, with the exception of this car, they're very affordable.

What's also great is that people who don't know cars have no clue what a Genesis or Equus is. They're not fazed by another 5 series, but a Genesis or an Equus usually gets their attention.

I'm no Bimmer fanboy but this is just a lie. On power numbers alone it's not a huge difference, but a G90 wouldn't be able to see which way a BMW 750i went, either on a backroad or in a straight line, to say nothing of a 550i, or the twin-turbo V12 760li.

If they don't know cars, I doubt they're getting worked up about a first gen Equus. That is one of the most boring designs I've ever seen.
