i think everyone needs to look at overall back end cost of owning a Hyundai or a BMW. I would venture to say that a BMW would cost you twice what the Genesis will run you. Hyundai builds the second most reliable brand on the road behind Toyota in my recent experience.
I think in terms of reliability, you have Toyota and Honda at the top, and it wouldn't surprise me to see Hyundai next. That have made great strides, the biggest strides in reliability in the last 15 years of anyone.
People who don't see that just don't want to.

Nice looking cars.
They copycat other designs from Audi, Mercedes and BMW.
It has a very "Audi" front end/grille for example.

It may be time to reset the OT. We've got people here going batshit defending a Hyundai.

I made one post in that thread before you posted that pic several pages later, but don't let facts get in the way of anything.

I drove a 2011 Genesis until hit 70k miles. Replaced 1 $300 part, it's a great car. The mechanics of a car are not that difficult anymore. It's the technology and South Korea has great technology. Only reason I got rid of was because I needed an SUV.

Well they have their designers so...

Porsche and Lexus usually trade spots for reliability in the luxury market. Honda/Acura peaked in the late 1990's and has slipped a bit since.

Automotive designers often jump around, but not all try to replicate their previous design for the next project. It's pretty obvious, they again Asians are great modifying/perfecting a product but not originating/inventing one.

And we just as many hating on them simply because of their name, but have never even sat in one much less driven one.
I am really interested in what super exclusive car you drive.

Oh, so now we can only have an opinion if we drive a super exclusive car? How much farther do you plan to move the goal posts here?
ETA: And I've test driven a 2015 Geneis, so I've done both.

You really do struggle with reading comprehension. You are bashing a car solely based on its name. That would lend one to believe you must drive something spectacular. C'mon champ, what is it?
You remind me of Paul Allan, you just like to argue for the sake,of arguing.

I haven't even really bashed the car. Perhaps you're the one with comprehension issues.
What imaginary comment will I make next?

Shouldnt we really be comparing the lease prices? Do the wealthy really purchase these high end sedans? In my experience most lease as they know they will want a brand new one in 3 years anyway
Yes, especially BMW, which inflates their risiduals.

You're taking issue with people defending it. Same difference.

It's not, but OK.

The G90 is Genesis’s full-size flagship, but unlike some luxury cars based on non-luxury counterparts, the G90 isn’t a Hyundai with a fancy badge slapped on. It uses its own dedicated platform and is powered by one of two exclusive engines: either a 3.3-liter twin-turbo V-6 or a 5.0-liter V-8, both available with rear-wheel or all-wheel drive.
Take that Acura, Infiniti, and Lexus.

most reliable car manufacturers.
KIA and Hyundai are up there.
I'm always skeptical of these things. Typically when people have very good cars they don't have a whole lot to say about them.
I'd like to see what the repairs were on the bottom cars like Land Rover. I have a land rover in my driveway that's been a sweetheart with zero issues. Now, it does like like to eat control arm bushings and strut mounts to the tune of $1500 every 70k miles or so. Does that make it an unreliable car?

I'd rather a vehicle to handle exceptionally and eat parts versus one that drives like marshmallow and doesn't consume anything.
