Fair, but their platforms that compete in the same class as Genesis are obviously not unique to the luxury brands.

The point you're trying to make is silly. The G90 is replacing the Equus. It is the epitome of a rebadged Hyundai.

The entire point is that if you buy a Genesis G90, there is no mistaking it for anything being produced under the Hyundai badge.

I didn't suggest that. They moved the Equus to the new line, which juts so happens to coincide with a redesign, which I'm sure was done just so they could make the statement you quoted about it not being a rebadged Hyundai.

It's the second generation of the Equus. Perhaps they're no mistaking it if you're uninformed. Conversely, you're just digging yourself into a bigger hole with that original comment if this is the path you want to take. There is no mistaking an RLX, Q70, or LS for anything from their parent brands' offerings either. So your comment of "take that Acura, Infinit, and Lexus" with regard to their flagship models is ridiculous.
