Prior to proposing to my wife I was engaged twice so those are the two exes I was closest to. I would attend both of their funerals because one of them is my wife’s cousin and the other ex was a bridesmaid in our wedding.
I attended the wedding of an ex and it was fun but her mother made it awkward when she told me that she still wished that I was the one marrying her daughter. I dropped a sympathy card into the card box with only the groom’s name on it and I stuffed about thirty other envelopes in the box with each envelope containing an envelope sized piece of cardboard from beer cases. It has the same thickness as a regular greeting card and become a pain in the arse opening them because there is nothing in them and there’s no name associated with it.

I have no idea what happened during the second paragraph you wrote but how did you end up engaged 3 times before your first marriage?

It’s real simple. I asked two girls to marry me and we didn’t get married, we split up before the wedding. I was 21 years old with the first one, I was 29 years old with the second, and got married at the age of 37.

Ex Gf - nope not going. I honestly probably wouldn’t know about it in time to make it for most of them.
Ex wife - I will 100% be there. To support my son and him losing his mother. But also to make sure she’s actually dead and prevent her mom from trying to resurrect her with some voodoo shite.

I do what my heart tells me to do. No woman ( wife girlfriend mother daughter) has anything to do with my decision logic. I do what I feel is right, a woman’s feelings are irrelevant. I could definitely see myself going to the funeral of an ex.
