I agree with this in principle but I don’t see how this works out for him.

These sacks of shite have no money, will likely never have money, and will dodge the judgment until their dying day if possible.

Ask the people who got slandered in the Tawana Brawley case about their judgments against her and Al Sharpton.

If it is any consolation, OJ’s inability to earn legitimately is why he ended up committing the crimes that actually got him sent to prison.

IIRC, he had illegally routed memorabilia to brokers to be sold for money under the table and they fricked him. So he attempted to frick them back.

The part about going after the system is interesting
quote:

NEW ORLEANS - One of the four teens involved in the fatal carjacking of a 73-year-old woman Monday has an extensive criminal record of at least seven prior arrests on more than 25 charges. WWL-TV reports John Honore, 17, and three other suspects appeared in juvenile court Wednesday after allegedly stealing 73-year-old Linda Frickey's vehicle Monday afternoon, dragging her behind the vehicle and killing her. But this hearing was not the first time Honore stepped foot in that court over the last several years. Honore stuck out amongst his co-defendants — three teenaged females — with numerous charges dating back to his first arrest for criminal damage to a property at age 12. Honore's prior charges include armed robbery, possession of a firearm, auto theft, flight from an officer, and 18 counts of vehicle burglary in one case alone, WWL-TV reports. The juvenile was also charged with aggravated burglary after the violent home invasion of a relative in May 2020, and his trial was transferred to an adult court. The case was reportedly dismissed in March 2021 at the request of the relative. While the case was still pending, though, Honore was arrested at least five times while he was supposed to be under house arrest awaiting trial.

Worth a shot but, if past precedent is any indication, Orleans Parish will stiff him like they have on most other judgments.

Might be able to get a judgement held for years in case the Dems give out those reparations they been promising.

I understand being pissed but this seems like more trouble than it’s worth. I’d probably do it too though.

They won't ever get a dime from these people, I'm surprised an attorney took it.

He must be a friend doing it knowing he won't get a dime, or to do the right thing.

This isn't about the money, they all know they are not getting blood from a turnip.

Would be worth it if the judgment was something along the lines of:

$1.00 check paid per month with handwritten note mailed to the Frickey family for 10 years (this will serve as a constant reminder + if they miss a payment, they could have some legal repercussions)

the challenge is collecting payment.

Shouldn’t their Homeowners policy cover it?

He could be planning just that.
Get them in the court room so you can identify them, get names, addresses, etc.
I can see that as the only reason to be going after such a small settlement.

But if that's all they have the point is made. Most kids is a representative of their environment then go after the people who created that environment. It will probably do very little, but if it happens enough maybe some people will start making sure their kids don't get everything they have taken away.
