The irony is Jay probably scheduled this show so that he COULD go to the car thing.

Joking aside, Bierman, hope you and yours stay safe.

For true TS newbies Entergy has a pretty good preparedness checklist, tho it pains me to credit them - storm restoration charge in perpetuity mf'ers-

Payton Malone's fb post said NHC may start issuing advisories this afternoon or evening with a cone, but hurricane hunters aren't scheduled to fly out until tomorrow

Not sure how accurate a cone can be before that but what do I know

Yep. I have lived in south Louisiana my entire life and have lived through Andrew, Gustav, Katrina, and all the other smaller ones. I was not prepared for the intensity and the overall "oh shite" nature of the eyewall of Hurricane Ida.

My aunt and uncle said the same thing about Ida. They never actually took the full hit from a hurricane. They've had damage, high winds, some flooding.

But Ida obliterated their neighborhood. I think they were without water for a week. They're pretty wealthy people and were having to seek help from others just to survive. I think that humbled them a good bit.

Well crap. Two of our guys are unable to help next week. Looks like we will be bringing some newbies and renting trucks. (Both guys who cant come have 3\4 tons and use them to pull the trailers).

Probably only be able to bring one team... I guess the second kitchen will have to wait to get its first workout.

Look at the rookie here!

Beer and bourbon first.

ETA: Scotch is also acceptable as you can drink that neat too.

These spaghetti models are different from the ones shared a little while ago. Not sure why there is such a difference.
