If it somewhat follows the current track and makes landfall as a Cat 1 what winds would the northshore be looking at? 40-50 MPH?

According to the current NHC track, not even that... basically nothing as far as wind.

No way to really know, we don't know what the storm will look like once it makes it into the gulf.

My husband will be flying in from Dallas then driving from Nola to biloxi. Late Saturday afternoon. Ugh.

Putting a number on it, one way or the other, is obviously pretty difficult. The 06z GFS has shifter a tad bit further east though, and it has been further east on every run for the past 24 hours.
