Ya, Beau is good from what I know.

Not sure about the machines in the others though.

I know they don't GAF if they operate without carpet

Last hurricane we had about 12" of mud on the slab under the camp. I shoveled it back into the canal as the wife was pressure washing everything behind me. Plan is to do the same unless we got lucky and the water didn't reach the slab, but I doubt that. I'm going to bed, good luck to everyone on the coast in the path

Getting some significant gusts here in Miramar beach. Starting to slide some porch furniture around and the water is almost to the dunes.

Damn! 12" of mud. I don't think even the baddest arse squeegee will work with that!

We get river silt from the Tchfuncte in Madisonville. It has a similar texture and consistency as pudding. A squeegee works great on 3" or 4" of that stuff. Probably wouldn't work on silt 12" deep, I'd guess.

I'm in 100% agreement with you about cleaning it up before it drys. It's much easier to move when it's still wet. If I'm there, I try to start before the water has completely receded, especially on the docks.

Try cleaning out 3ft of swamp with a shovel. That's what I was working with after Katrina in Indian Village. I quit after 1/4 of the first room, and told my mom's friend to tear down the house

I do the same with the river silt. When that stuff dries it is a bitch to get off. Fortunately, this time I only have a small portion to clean when the water goes down.

My parents live a couple of blocks away from the GN and checked their surveillance cams this morning, luckily no flooding at their place.
