I'm happy to be sparred from the storm. It's better to take it seriously and be happy with no activity than the other way around.

Oh yeah.

Dude, skysummit and ndg are excellent over there. Zach Fradella is a pro that posts there too and medic has picked up a whole lot over the years. It's worth checking out stormcastforums IMHO.

FWIW, I think it is too. I'd simply defer to the NHC over any forum whenever there is a disagreement.

They’re breaking into a football game in Birmingham for a storm that won’t be there until early morning.

Thank your lucky stars you didn't need them. it could have been much worse. Save the plywood for next year. Hurricane season comes along every year.

The hard part of weather forums is figuring out who knows their shite and who doesn't. Then parcing through all the technical shite from the people who know what they're talking about.

TD is lucky to have rds as a pro dumbing it down for all of us and a few guys parcing the good stuff and sharing it.

Jeff is riding this out on DI? While Nate doesn’t seem to be packing a punch that island gets pummled.

Major props if he’s chilling on the west end.

Jeff makes cantore look like a bitch. His live stream during Harvey was the best thing I've ever watched

I get why they had to do it but it was still kind of odd/funny seeing most everybody shut down tonight.

The Winn-Dixie was closed with emergency shutters in place like they were prepping for Judgement Day.

My boy that runs the local Chinese to go place wasn't playing that shite, though.

I'm in Tuscaloosa, there are no active warnings or watches yet. We are being advised to keep an eye on the situation though. The dangerous time period will be between 7am and 1pm tomorrow.

I know that sounds pretty obvious, but a lot of pros on other sites thought the NHC had gone too far east too early, but the NHC stuck to their guns despite the Euro and other global models.

NHC deserves some credit.

I didn’t realize there was a tornado warning. Carry on.
