23 miles put the entire metro New Orleans and north shore out of cone
Peej did that by saying it would be a direct hit on New Orleans.

I'm in Fairhope now at my parents who are older but they got all their meds before. We are riding this big ole cat 1 out like we did with Ivan

I spent weeks after Ivan cleaning up Mobile bay with the USACOE. We found some crazy shite in the bay.

That was bad for that area. All the slab houses on the southside of Little Lagoon got gone.

Ivan fricked up my hunting camp enough for them to completely clear cut our entire 400 acres. I was saying it was a beast and we are going to "ride it out" for this cat 1 Nate

TWC hurricane "expert" just gave it a 61% chance of having 100 mph+ winds at landfall. I don't see how.

In a reasonable worst case scenario, New Orleans could see 5-8 feet of storm surge from #Nate. Enough to stress levees. Sounds serious.

Flags galore on the recon pass, but two 70 kt surface readings but again flagged.
I think we haz Hurricane Nate now.

Yeah but some guy named PJ told me this would dissipate. Sounded legit?

The USACOE & Coast Guard have found plenty of crazy stuff for us after hurricanes

Since PJ's proclamation, the chances of tropical storm force winds in New Orleans have gone down from 71% to 46%. That's pretty impressive in roughly 30 hours.

We're really lucky Nate is moving so fast. If this thing was going 10 mph and was going to hit Monday it would probably be a major storm.

-90 C popping up in the middle of that dense overcast.
Concerning look
