17 tornados in one county…wtf

Just heard on local news we had over 150 tornado warnings yesterday. I’m in Pam beach county

ETA I’m on the east side and we dodged a bullet here. It blew over a plant on the patio here.

All good in Plant City here. Still no power and we lost some fence panels and a mini shed, but we are ok.

I think we are going to be good boys. One more hr. Did not lose power. Few things hit the roof but did not seem big.

So was this wishcasting and fearmongering by the media or was there a legitimate reason for the drop in power of the storm and winds? I'm glad it wasnt as bad as feard... just saying calling for a possible cat5 and evacuations only for cat2 winds and rain is what makes people not want to evacuate next time.

It was always forecasted to do what it did. The problem is the surge. Had it hit just a little more North, we would be watching a whole different story this morning.

It was probably one of those fugly tan plastic ones at Lowe’s or Sam’s.

Unless it was metal one, I remember a video clip from Zeta in 2020 where one of those cheap metal Arrow sheds lifted off the foundation and took off like the house in the Wizard of Oz, but the crazy part is that it left all the stuff in the shed on the ground untouched. The shed was full of junk.

Nothing even happened here in Miami. Couldn't even hear the wind like I could the day before Helene. Looks totally normal outside. Palm trees not even moving

How does Miami keep dodging major storms?

Looks like Florida, and mainly TB, dodged a major bullet. That southerly entrance spared TB from the storm surge.

107 is the highest winds I saw recorded.

All in all, prob the best they could have hoped for after what people were thinking 2 days ago.

Considering the Rays season is over, I’m going to go with no they won’t play in the Trop again this season.
