Sarasota-Bradenton Airport 41 gusting 64 mph

Stronger winds are beginning to move onshore.

LanierSpots if you are still lurking, hang on - it's about to go downhill very quickly at your location.

Yeah, I’ve heard the same from friends in the area. This is insane. You make out okay so far? My parents are without power, but that sure seems like a massive W at this point with what happened on the Treasure Coast.

They’re taking sewer treatment facilities offline in St Pete
I was really hoping the chick on tv would have said that it’s okay to flush your poo, but hold off if it’s only pee

I've had power go out twice but come back both times. Patio is flooded but I am okay at this point. Very thankful. The tornadoes in Port Salerno and Stuart were bad and close, I'm curious on the damage outside

The worst thing about riding out a storm like this is the moment you realize you’ve made the wrong decision. Can’t run, can’t hide.

People in Florida even drive casually when there’s a tornado on the ground.

I’m not sure why anyone would stay. Just pack up all the stuff you can’t replace and get out.

Team, anyone have any knowledge of charities willing to accept mailed care packages or donations to support areas impacted by Helene or Milton? I have an Airman who wants to lead an effort across our unit to collect supplies and send them off by early next week, most charities prefer cash or dropped off items though. I have reached out direct to a few, and haven’t heard back yet. Hoping someone closer to the impacted areas may have information.

That’s maybe 2 feet of surge with some waves. Nothing deadly is touching key west. Water splashes around there at the southernmost point frequently.
