Saw piles of debris yesterday evening riding down Apollo Beach Boulevard. Mostly the leases on the water. Gonna be flung around in the storm.

I just drove north from Port Charlotte to Parrish, Fl. Every single bird, and there were a lot of them, were flying east.

They know. Pretty cool to notice it as I was driving.

Pretty cool to have your ashes dropped in a Cat 5. What was Peter's name on here?

Eye wall looks like shite on the western side. Shear and dry air starting to pound on Milton like the 2011 LSU offensive line in the 4th quarter.

My son goes to school in Polk County. He left Monday and came back to Alabama. According to the current center cone line, his house down there is 4.3 miles to the Southeast of the center line. I know the wind and surge issues will be the worst on the coast, but is Southeast of the "line" the worst spot to be in for more inland wind?

That’s a nasty looking outer band that’s not too far offshore.

Is that really dry air or just poor radar penetration?

Its not due to curvature of the earth because the earth is flat of course

Boat, that could be the radar having trouble penetrating the eastern eye wall.

Can’t really tell what it’s up to. Is it wobbling toward Fort Meyers?

No, the beam is coming from Key West so it’s not blocked by eye wall.

Honestly, being that it’s just 4 miles, it’s not going to matter

You can see how eroded it looks on IR. It means there aren’t tall, intense thunderstorms on that side of the eye wall since nothing is being returned to the radar. There’s probably precip there but it’s not intense.
