I can't imagine being in PR hoping for the best 24-48 hours ago, then slowly watching her do the exact opposite as she draws closer. And it's not only the fact that it's stayed on course and just as powerful, it's done the unthinkable and intensified into a record breaker... Got to be a pretty hopeless feeling

40 mph gusting to 57 in St. Croix already.


ETA - just had a 69 mph gust and (only) 996 millibars so far. Not a good sign getting almost hurricane force gusts with the pressure not real low yet.
