At what point do the Keys require a mandatory evacuation?
Just a normal drive to get from Key West to north past where this storm is predicting to go is a near five hour drive.

Dude, stop jamming up this thread. No one here knows or cares what a meteorologist posts on another forum. These aren't new thread concepts here and everyone knows who is knowledgeable and who's not. Anyone posting bs scare shite is reeled in quickly.

I figure evacuations would start about Wednesday

That s/w is weaker on the 18z and the main trough is kicking out faster. But there are other changes and Irma ends up landfalling near the same point. Biggest change, Miami is in the western eyewall this run

Florida seems on top of it, the governor has already declared a state of emergency throughout the state. I bet if we wake up tomorrow to similar forecast models they'll be starting to evacuate the Keys tomorrow.

Yep, it is slow loading but it looks this way. Also take note that as of now Naval Station Guantanamo Bay, Cuba LINK is not evacuating and they did the last few Hurricanes. So they must see the model where Cuba is somewhat spared?
Also why in the frick are people putting the Forest Gump spaghetti models in here all swearing upside down it is gonna go in the GOM? I know folks are gun shy, but for frick sakes; Fla. is being pointed at first then SC then NC. Not the GOM. People have reasonably tried saying this but some don't believe it.
Here everyone, take your PTSDCane shot here-----> I---->
There... all better?

I have a vacation in Jamaica on the 12th..am I fricked?

I'm in Orlando, so I think no matter what, I won't get the worst of it. Looks like it's going to unload on Miami as the most reasonable prediction, then weaken considerably as it goes north.
Other models have it going away from the middle of the state either into the GOM or up north along the coast.

When the forecast has the storm going somewhere else they come out and say "well that's just a forecast anything can happen."
When the storm is forecast to come their way "it's the end of the world the forecast can't be wrong."
