Nevermid just climbing on the roof with a ladder, CNN wants you to chop through your ceiling, lol. I am still laughing at this idiot.

About to pass up the hurricane Harvey thread.

So, in a sense, she's airing it out right now?
Pretty much exactly what she's doing.
This interaction might have been what the GFS was picking on when it was bombing her down sub 900 all week. That was with a much stronger system that didn't have the Cuba interaction to weaken it.

Going in the attic is bad. Why is this still advised?

That guy didn't create a roof hatch after Katrina ... they have been around for quite awhile.

Depends how fast the water comes up and how it's flowing, might be dangerous to try to access the roof by going outside
Yes, but people default to go into their attic, and the majority of folks don't have a way to get through the roof it if keeps coming up.

Further west again. Center may very well come over Birmingham.

Going in the attic is better than drowning in your living room, but it's a last ditch option.

My brother and family are definitely gonna ride it out in Port Charlotte. Thank ya'll for the constant steam of information. I'll be glued to this thread for the next 2 days.

Not sure if I could get on my roof without a ladder. I do have an attic ladder so if I needed to escape to avoid rapid flooding in my house I probably would head to attic if there was no other option.

That track has been pretty solid for over a day now. Naples and Tampa better get out.
