People in Florida have been saying they're completely out of gas in the middle part of the state. Some are forced to ride it out from my understanding. I haven't heard the same from the north panhandle part.

But it hasn't turned yet.
That's why I'm reading every word in this thread.
It is supposed to happen today.

This is the extent of Irma's wind field across her journey:

Yes the last half hour she's made a jog more north than west.
We will see if this continues. She did this last night then went back to a more western track.

Based on the current track, what kind of conditions should middle and northern Alabama and Tennessee expect? Tropicalstorm force winds?

hat's a big deal. Not sure how you don't think that changes the game?
That's why it was predicted 5 days ago
And why hurricane warnings were posted Thursday night to both sides

My wife is watching a girl snapchat from a mobile home in Key West. People are parking on the bridge . There is also a set of guys just now trying to tie their boat down.

Irma looks like she is lifting. Radar just updated again.
Let the games begin.

Yeah, this is looking like the start of the turn.
Irma will need a few hours to get the strong eyewall convection going again but she looks pretty "good" for all the land interaction.
