So the latest projection has the storm barely moving between Tuesday and Wednesday once it gets to Tennessee. Could be some flooding up there I'm guessing.

Watching TWC now, some of these businesses did a really shitty job of boarding up. Is this not something the southern tip of Florida should be pretty good at by now?

Everyone just chill the frick out.

Spent thirty minutes picking the toys up off the floor in here. Some have been sent to timeout, others are getting the evil eye, so let's all just be cool.

Emotions often run high in these threads, especially when we get this close to landfall. If we can all try to understand where others are coming from, then we'll all be much better off.

That said, if you're just here to flame, then you can frick right off, as ain't nobody got time for that.

legit laughed at this.

I'll leave it alone on my end.

Rainfall totals aren't that crazy yet, but you never know how those things set up.

See my above post. The storm is constantly on the southern end of "the cone" which, by the way, is horseshite cya because the cone is re-released every few hours with a 30 degree angle on both directions projecting outward so technically and mathematically it would never go outside the cone as long as the direction is accurate. It's a moving goalpost.

Looking at the model predictions in their entirety and you can easily see this was supposed to be WELL east of the US, to east of the US, to grazing the Carolinas, to hitting east FLA, to going up FLA's gut, to hitting west FLA.

Anyone who knows trigonometry can see the angle mathematical cya.

Back to my point - so if what the NHC has predicted has been accurate as you say then call it for Destin.

Its not math though. It is weather, amd it is complex and fluid.

And 5 days ago the NHC was wrong.

Please elaborate a little further if you want to make an actual point, otherwise you sound like a crazy person saying this right now with how accurate overall they've been for Irma. 5 days ago there were pros and average Joes alike that were doubtful if the computers could accurately predict the pressure system setup that would steer her, and theyve been proven wrong thus far.

For those interested, the center fixes haven't made it to mainland Cuba yet, and this NW wobble of late may prevent that from happening altogether.
