Yes, Entergy told the media that. Entergy said all high power lines into greater NOLA are out. I didnt say down.

Hearing tower is down but not in river. The power lines are though

Does that mean that all of New Orleans is out of power?

South Lafourche Nursing Home is destroyed. Residents are in a warehouse with those from other homes.

Reports are that all of the city and parts of East Jefferson are out of power. Backup power was reportedly restored to S&WB (for the pumps that are working, at least).

Power went out about 10 minutes ago on Jones Creek, and the situation in NOLA about the power seems really bad.

I saw in another thread the whole parish is out.

But, to answer what I think your question is, there are usually several transmission routes into the area. Wouldn’t be a shock to learn they’ve all met catastrophic fates as was the case in LCH.

Looks like NOLA was sparred. This is good news

If no flooding, then sure. But as far as hurricane damage, that's a different story.

If Luling is that fricked up I imagine St. Rose is too. Glad family left

Luling is a disaster zone. Roof damage is ubiquitous. Trees are defoliated or snapped. I’d be amazed if any fences are standing. Water from rainfall is starting to fill up ditches and canals. Part of our roof is gone and water is streaming down through our HVAC system, into the walls, and down windows. I’m lucky that we aren’t experiencing overtopped levees but I won’t count my chickens til they hatch. Praying hard. Many tears are being shed and will be shed once this is over.

Are you near Ashton plantation?

Haven’t heard specifically about Waggaman, but it can’t be too much worse than where I am. Just a river between us.
