Still in Orange Beach riding this out. Rain has been on and off since 10 am. Wind has been steady since about 8 am but nothing too crazy. Got a round of putt putt in and arcade time with the kids. Now we’re on the patio watching the waves.

I believe OBA, GS, & Fort Morgan are enforcing the no swim law during TS or Hurricane's right now. As they should be. I believe it is a $500 fine.

Yep a couple days ago I said that it was going to make landfall to the east and that there wouldn’t be any closures in the BR area and I got downvoted all to hell

There’s always some idiots out surfing when there’s a hurricane coming because that’s about the only time they can use their $500 boards they thought would be awesome around here

It’s too choppy to make anything of it right now, they’ll have to wait until the wind picks up in a more steady direction later on in the thick of it. I always try to find a webcam to watch them on because it’s usually pretty damn comical

I believe stand up surfers are exempt from the fines. Body surfers and swimmers can get fined.

In Gulf Shores all the local news stations are showing Soaps and Judge shows. I think we are in the clear. Just some gusty winds and rain. Waves are getting gnarly and the water is backing up into Little Lagoon. For reference I’m next to the Pass on West Beach.

Rds can you unpack the information im reading on Storm2k of the MLC and LLC separating, causing a northerly jog in attempt to keep them together?

I'm on E Scenic and I'm barely seeing any whitecaps right now. The tide is up a little bit, but not close to 90 yet.

AJ’s at the Destin Harborwalk has some of those webcams you can control yourself, won’t be any surfers out there due to the way it’s setup but it’s still pretty cool to look around out to the jetty, the bridge, towards crab island, etc. for those that know the area
